Joshua Zulueta

Mentor | Portland Staff

Joshua Zulueta (he/him) was born and raised on the island of Saipan, part of the U.S. Commonwealth of the Northern Mariåna Islands. His Filipino cultural identity, his upbringing alongside Chamorros and other Pacific Islanders, and his experience as a tutor are among the things he carried with him when he moved to Oregon in 2021 in his continued pursuit of higher education.

Joshua is part of the Mentoring and Tutoring Program's team that serves and supports Pacific Islander high school students at Roosevelt High School. He wishes to see more Pacific Islander Youth rise from any challenging circumstances, access better opportunities, aim for higher ambitions in life, and achieve a brighter future.
